Auxiliary Resistors
On the modern rail vehicles, as well as brake resistors, it is possible to find additonal auxiliary resistors; we can mention the short-circuit resistors, the discharge resistors, the crowbar resistors, the snubber resistors and the noise current filter resistors. Usually the space at disposition is very limited and consequently the design phase requires high flexibility to achieve the best possible technical solution in accordance with the customer dimensional limitations.
The main features of the auxiliary resistor for railway vehicles are:
- Small sizes and design optimized for the restricted space at disposition
- High ohmic values
- High level of insulation
